It's no wonder that people say that the Scots have an inferiority complex. Telling jokes like that gives the impression that you are jealous of the fact that England are ranked Number 1 in the world and are the favourites to win the World Cup. The fact that the Scottish national team are a bunch of no-hopers and are laughing stock to most of the world doesn't mean you can make a joke about the English team which is the best in the world. In a few weeks when England are the World Champions like will be even more unbearable for the Scots.
